The Final Score - Reaching the Target Audience

There are several techniques that will be demonstrated in order to reach the film's target audience. One of the most crucial factors in determining if a person will attend particular movie is based upon the actors in the film. The Final Score is a character-driven film that will require multi-talented actors at the A-List level. By blending some of the hottest up-and-coming actors in the business with seasoned, talented celebrities will assist in making The Final Score a must-see film. Using this blend will enthrall the viewer to root for the underdog and strike his or her inner soul.

The character dialogue, which the writers chose throughout the script, was carefully selected. This will allow the audience to be extremely familiar with the characters' thoughts, feelings, emotions, and opinions. This system will be implemented through the use of common, everyday terminology combined with fashionable, up-to-date slang that is spoken by today's teenagers and young adults. The use of real dialogue will allow the audience to connect the characters to their own peers and personal experiences.

Next, with the use of hip and in style fashion worn by all of the characters in The Final Score, the audience will recognize and appreciate the certain styles that are chosen for the film. The Jackpot Pictures team will hire a Product Placement Company whose sole purpose is to reveal particular product in a given scene. The Product Placement Company will be used for all set dressing, props, food and beverage, accessories, shoes, as well as costumes. In turn, the use of a Product Placement Company is a low cost form of advertising since all that is used is the physical product creating a subliminal message. Therefore, they will be more than happy to supply their products to film. Using clothing companies whom the target audience enjoys (Abercrombie & Fitch, GAP, Tiffany's, Coach, Prada, Liz Claiborne, etc.) allows for them to become excited about dressing like the stars of the film.

Another important technique that Jackpot Pictures intends to employ is the use of displaying common interests, social settings, and emotional experiences in which the target audience deals with on a day-to-day basis. All of these scenes and character relations will be intertwined with success and failure. Another very common interest among college-aged people is sports. This film places a strong emphasis on the sport of ice hockey. It will also capture the school spirit that is involved with both high school and college. Product placement for companies such as Nike, Reebok, and Adidas will be used for the sporting events

Finally, the most crucial method of reaching this particular audience is the choice of music. Music will not only be one of the primary focuses of this film, music will be a character. An original music score will be orchestrated and featured throughout the film. Being that music is often a way that generations distinguish themselves among each other will assist in the subtle unification of past and present musical expression. This also creates a connection between the audience and the film. In addition to the musical score, the film's original soundtrack will be geared towards the overflowing variety of popular, modern, and legendary artists enjoyed by all ages today. Due to the fact that there are so many fine genres of music enjoyed by so many different people, the soundtrack for The Final Score will pride itself in dabbling in as many of these genres as possible.

For example, one very popular type of music enjoyed by teenagers and adults is classic rock. Classic rock seems to have a very strong influence on people of all age. The film will include songs from bands, such as: The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Alman Brothers Band, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, and Boston. For our older audience we will feature bands from the 50's and 60's, artists like: The Temptations, The Four Seasons, The Supremes, the Beach Boys, The Young Rascals, Janis Joplin, Simon & Garfunkle, and The Birds.

Young adults tend to be enthralled by the alternative/pop rock explosion during the early to mid-nineties. Samples from bands like: Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Green Day, U2, Third Eye Blind, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Hootie & the Blowfish, and Dave Matthews Band will be rampant as well. An extremely popular form of music today is hip hop. Teenagers and young adults tend to heavily enjoy being at a club and dancing to the hip hop artists of both today and the past. Artists such as: The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Nas, Outkast, Eminem, 50 Cent, and The Wu-Tang Clan will be widespread throughout the film.

The emotional experiences in this film can be related to by virtually all that view it. College is a coming of age period of time. The characters in The Final Score, particularly David, embark on a journey in which he and the other characters discover their right of passage. Relationship problems, struggling for success, being embarrassed, being cheated on, and being hurt are all common forks in the road as we travel on this journey. These are also extremely common to David and the characters in The Final Score. They go through the same heartbreaks that we all go through. David's particular journey is loaded with obstacles, but in the end he surprisingly turns to a backup plan which will leave everyone with a smile on their face.
